How Do I Add a Sidebar in WordPress?
Adding a sidebar in WordPress is a fairly easy task. To do so, first open your WordPress admin panel and click on the Appearance tab.
Then, under the Widgets heading, click on the Add New Widget button.
Next, in the widget editor, enter the following information:
Name: Sidebar 1
Description: This is the sidebar for Sidebar 1.
Widgets:
1. Sidebar 1
2. Content
3. Footer
4. Custom Widgets
5. Subscribe to Blog Posts
6. Add New Post
7. Recent Posts
8. Categories
9. Tags
10. Taxonomy
11. Custom Fields
12. Custom Menu
13. Add New Page
14. Edit Page
15. Delete Page
16. Page Attributes
17. Page Content
18. Page SEO
19. Page Privacy
20. Custom CSS
21. Custom JavaScript
22. Google Analytics
23. Email Notifications
24. Social Bookmarking
25. Add Custom Header
26. Add Custom Background
27. Add Custom Header Image
28. Add Custom Background Image
29. Add Custom Footer
30. Add Custom Footer Image
31. Add Custom CSS Styles

Click on the blue button at the bottom of the sidebar widget editor window to save your changes.
Now, in your WordPress blog’s content, insert a paragraph or two about your sidebar. For example:
This is Sidebar 1, a special sidebar devoted to additional content and information. It includes widgets for content, footer information, recent posts, and more.
To add a new widget to Sidebar 1, click on the Add New Widget button above.
