Can We Change Domain Name in WordPress?

When you’re setting up a new WordPress site, you’ll probably choose a domain name (like example.com) and enter it into your WordPress admin area.

However, there’s a chance you might want to change your domain name later on. Here’s how to do it.

First, you’ll need to decide whether you want to transfer your site to a new domain name or keep your current domain name and use a different WordPress site name (like example.com and newsite.example.

com). If you want to transfer your site, you’ll need to contact your current hosting provider and ask them to transfer your site to the new domain name.

If you want to keep your current domain name and use a different WordPress site name, you’ll need to change your WordPress site name in your admin area. To do this, go to Settings > General > Site Name.

Enter the new site name in the Site Name field, and click Save Changes.
