How Do I Add a Custom Text Widget to WordPress?

Adding a custom text widget to WordPress is easy. All you need is a text widget plugin and a WordPress theme.

There are many free and premium text widget plugins available, but for this example we’ll use the popular Widget Revolution plugin. To add the custom text widget to your WordPress site, go to the Widgets area of your WordPress site and select the “Add new” button.

In the “Widgets” page that appears, select the “Text Widget” option and enter the name of your text widget in the “Name” field. In the “Shortcode” field, enter the following code:
