Hreflang tags are used by search engines to help index pages in different languages. They help WordPress users to identify which language their posts and pages are written in, and makes it easier for them to Target their content to a specific audience.
To add a hreflang tag in WordPress, follow these steps:
1. Open the WordPress admin area.
2. Click on the “Settings” menu item.
3. Click on the “General” tab.
4. Under the “Languages” heading, click on the “Add new language” button.
5. In the “Language Name” field, type the name of the language you want to add a hreflang tag to.
6. In the “Country/Region” field, type the country or region where the language is spoken.
7. In the “Language Code” field, type the code for the language you want to add hreflang tags to.
8. In the “Hreflang Tag” field, type the hreflang tag for the language you want to add tags to.
9. Click on the “Create” button.
10. Repeat steps 4-9 for as many languages as you want to add hreflang tags to.
