How Do I Add a UPI Payment Gateway in WordPress?
Adding a UPI payment gateway in WordPress is a fairly straightforward process. First, you’ll need to create a new plugin file and add the required code.
Once you have done that, you’ll need to configure your WordPress site to use the new plugin. Finally, you’ll need to create a new UPI payment gateway account and add the necessary configurations to your plugin.
1. Create a New Plugin File
To add a UPI payment gateway in WordPress, you’ll first need to create a new plugin file. To do this, open up your WordPress site in a web browser and navigate to the directory where your WordPress site is installed.
Next, click on the “Plugins” menu item on the left-hand side of the screen. This will open up the plugins screen, which you can see in the following screenshot.
Next, click on the “Add New” button located in the bottom-left corner of the screen. This will open up the plugin file creation window, as shown in the following screenshot.
Enter the name of your new plugin into the “Name” field. Next, click on the “Plugin Settings” tab located in the top-right corner of the screen.
This will open up the plugin settings screen, as shown in the following screenshot.
In the “Plugin Settings” screen, you’ll first need to click on the “General” tab. Next, you’ll need to click on the “Loadplugins” button located in the top-right corner of the screen.
This will open up the loadplugins screen, which you can see in the following screenshot.
Next, scroll down until you find the “UPI Payment Gateway” plugin and click on the “Install” button. This will install the UPI Payment Gateway plugin into your WordPress site.
2. Configure the Plugin
Once the UPI Payment Gateway plugin has been installed, you’ll need to configure it to use your WordPress site. To do this, open up the UPI Payment Gateway plugin file that was installed in step 1.
Next, you’ll need to click on the “Configure” button located in the top-right corner of the screen. This will open up the configuration screen, as shown in the following screenshot.
In the configuration screen, you’ll first need to click on the “UPI” tab located in the top-left corner of the screen. Next, you’ll need to click on the “Configure UPI” button located in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
This will open up the UPI configuration screen, as shown in the following screenshot.
In the UPI configuration screen, you’ll first need to enter your UPI payment gateway account credentials. Next, you’ll need to click on the “Link Accounts” button located in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
This will open up the link accounts screen, which you can see in the following screenshot.
Next, you’ll need to click on the “Add New” button located in the bottom-right corner of the screen. This will open up the UPI account creation screen, as shown in the following screenshot.
Next, you’ll need to enter the necessary account details. These details will include your UPI account number, your bank account number, and your bank account type (salaried or side hustle).
Next, you’ll need to click on the “Next” button located in the bottom-right corner of the screen. This will open up the next screen, which you can see in the following screenshot.
On the next screen, you’ll need to click on the “Submit” button located in the bottom-right corner of the screen. This will submit the UPI account creation process and add the new UPI account to your WordPress site.
3. Add the UPI Payment Gateway Code to Your Plugin
Now that the UPI payment gateway has been added to your WordPress site, you’ll need to add the necessary code to your plugin. To do this, open up your plugin file that was created in step 1.
Next, you’ll need to click on the “Add” button located in the top-right corner of the screen. This will open up the add screen, as shown in the following screenshot.
Next, you’ll need to click on the “Text” button located in the top-left corner of the screen. This will open up the text editor screen, which you can see in the following screenshot.
Next, you’ll need to enter the following code into the text editor screen:
