How Do I Create a Menu ID in WordPress?
Creating a menu ID in WordPress is a quick and easy way to organize your menus and menu items. To create a menu ID, first open your WordPress Dashboard and click on the Posts menu item.
Then, click on the Menu Item link located under the Posts heading.
Once you’ve clicked on the Menu Item link, you’ll see a screen that looks similar to the following:
On the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all of your posts. Click on the title of the post you want to use as your starting point.
Then, on the right-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all of your menus. Click on the Menu Item link that corresponds to the category of the post you just clicked on.
After you’ve clicked on the Menu Item link, you’ll see a screen that looks similar to the following:
On the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all of your menu items. Click on the Menu Item link that corresponds to the post category you just clicked on.
On the right-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all of your menu items’ menu IDs. To create a new menu ID, click on the New Menu ID link.
After you’ve created your new menu ID, you’ll see a screen that looks similar to the following:
On the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all of your menus with the new menu ID highlighted in red.
On the right-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all of your menu items with the new menu ID highlighted in green.
To add a new menu item to a menu with the new menu ID, click on the Add New Menu Item link.
After you’ve added your new menu item, you’ll see a screen that looks similar to the following:
On the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all of your menu items with the new menu ID and the new menu item highlighted in red.
On the right-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all of your menu items with the new menu ID and the new menu item highlighted in green.
To delete a menu item from a menu with the new menu ID, click on the Delete Menu Item link.
After you’ve deleted your menu item, you’ll see a screen that looks similar to the following:
On the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all of your menus with the new menu ID and the deleted menu item highlighted in red.
On the right-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all of your menus with the new menu ID and the deleted menu item highlighted in green.
To rename a menu item from a menu with the new menu ID, click on the Rename Menu Item link.
After you’ve renamed your menu item, you’ll see a screen that looks similar to the following:
On the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all of your menus with the new menu ID and the renamed menu item highlighted in red.
On the right-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all of your menus with the new menu ID and the renamed menu item highlighted in green.
To delete a menu from a WordPress site, first open your WordPress site in your web browser and click on the Posts menu item. Then, click on the Menu Item link located under the Posts heading.
On the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all of your menus. Click on the Menu Item link that corresponds to the post category you want to delete the menu from.
On the right-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all of your menu items with the menu ID highlighted in red.
To delete a menu item from a menu with the menu ID, click on the Delete Menu Item link.
