How Do I Create a Subsite in WordPress?
Creating a WordPress subdomain is a great way to organize your website into separate sections. It also gives you the ability to have separate blogs, galleries, or other sections on your site without having to create separate WordPress installations.
To create a subdomain in WordPress, follow these steps:
1. Open your WordPress site in your web browser.
2. Click the “Options” link in the top right corner of the screen.
3. Click the “Settings” tab.
4. Click the “Site” tab.
5. Under “Website Address,” type the name of the subdomain you want to create.
6. Under “Website Title,” type the title of the subdomain.
7. Click the “Create” button.
8. After the subdomain has been created, you’ll need to add a domain name to the website.
To do this, go to your domain name registrar and purchase a domain name that matches the subdomain you created.
9. Enter the domain name into the “Website Address” field in WordPress, and click the “Save” button.
10. Click the “Active Website” link in the top left corner of the screen to test the new subdomain.
11. Congratulations! Your WordPress subdomain is now up and running.
