How Do I Create an Interactive Image in WordPress?
Creating an interactive image in WordPress is easy. All you need is a plugin and some basic HTML.
The plugin we recommend is called WP Smush.
To use WP Smush, first install the plugin. Then, go to your WordPress blog’s admin area and click on the Images tab.
You’ll see a list of all the images on your blog. Click on the image you want to make interactive.
WP Smush will now show you the HTML code for the image. All you need to do is replace the standard tag with the WP Smush tag. Here’s an example:
Replace the https://www.
com/smush/max/200/original?quality=90 with the URL for the quality you want the image to have (90 for high quality). You can also add some basic HTML code to the tag if you want. Here’s an example:.
Replace the 500 with the width of the image you want to smush (in pixels). Here’s an example:
Replace the 300 with the height of the image you want to smush (in pixels).com/smush/max/200/original?quality=90&w=500&h=300&v=2″ title=”Smush this image to reduce its file size”>Smush this image
Replace the v=2 with the level of compression you want the image to have (0 for no compression, 1 for low compression, and 2 for high compression).
Now, when someone clicks on the image, it will automatically smush it and reduce its file size. You can also add this code to your blog’s footer or header if you want. Here’s an example:
Finally, you can add a link to the Smush.com website in the same spot if you want people to download the original image.
That’s all there is to it! Now your image will be smushable and reduce its file size automatically.
