How Do I Edit the Footer Text in WordPress?

If you want to change the text in the footer area of a WordPress blog, there are a few ways to do it. You can edit the WP_Footer() function directly, or you can use the WordPress Customizer to change the footer text on a per-blog basis.

If you want to edit the WP_Footer() function, you’ll first need to find it. To do that, go to the WordPress Codex page for WP_Footer(), and look for the function’s name.

Once you’ve located it, you can edit it as you would any other WordPress function.

If you want to change the footer text on a per-blog basis, you can use the WordPress Customizer. To open the Customizer, go to the WordPress Admin area, and click on the Customizer link in the Appearance section. Once you’re in the Customizer, you’ll need to find the Footer field.

To do that, click on the downward-pointing triangle next to the Footer field, and select the option to Show Fields. Then, click on the Text field in the Show Fields section, and type in the new footer text.
