How Do I Force SSL in WordPress Without Plugins?

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a cryptographic protocol used to secure communications between a web server and a client. WordPress uses SSL by default, but you can disable SSL if you want to.

To disable SSL:

1. Go to your WordPress site’s admin area.

2. Click on the “Settings” tab.

3. Under “Security,” click on the “SSL” button.

4. In the “SSL settings” window, select the “Disable SSL” option.

5. Click on the “Save changes” button.

Note: If you disable SSL, you may not be able to access your site if you’re not using a SSL-enabled browser.

SSL is a good security measure, but some people prefer to disable it for speed reasons. If you want to keep SSL enabled, but still speed up your website, you can use a plugin like W3 Total Cache.
