How Do I Make a Page a Parent Page in WordPress?
Making a page a parent page in WordPress is really quite simple. To do so, all you need to do is go to the Pages screen in your WordPress admin, and then click on the “+” button next to the page you want to make a parent page of.
Once you’ve clicked on the “+” button, WordPress will ask you what you want to call the new parent page. You can give it any name you want, but the best practice is to use the same name as the page you want to make a parent page of.
Once you’ve given the new parent page a name, WordPress will ask you to set its parent page. By default, WordPress will set the new parent page as the default parent page, which is the page that all new pages will inherit their structure and content from.
If you want the new parent page to have its own separate structure and content, you can choose to set it as a parent page rather than the default parent page. To do so, simply click on the “Set as Parent” button next to the “Parent Page” field.
Once you’ve set the new parent page as the parent page, WordPress will automatically create a child page for it, which will be named according to the name you gave the new parent page.
Congratulations! You’ve now made your page a parent page in WordPress.
