How Do I Password Protect My WordPress Site?
If you’re like most people, you have a password for your email, Facebook, and other online accounts. But what about your WordPress site? WordPress is a popular content management system (CMS) that enables you to create a website from scratch, or to improve an existing website.
To password protect your WordPress site, first sign in to your WordPress site. Next, click the “Settings” link in the top navigation bar.

In the “Security” page, click the “Password” link.
In the “Password” page, type your WordPress site password into the “Password” field.
Click the “Update Password” button.
Click the “Save Changes” button.
Now, you’ll need to create a password protect security question and answer (PASA) file. To do this, click the “Settings” link in the top navigation bar, and then click the “General” link.
In the “General” page, click the “Security” link.
In the “Security” page, click the “PASA” link.
In the “PASA” page, click the “Add New” button.
In the “Add New” window, type your WordPress site password into the “Site Password” field.
In the “Question” field, type a password protect security question.
In the “Answer” field, type the password protect security answer.
Now, you’ll need to add the PASA file to your WordPress site. To do this, click the “Settings” link in the top navigation bar, and then click the “Security” link.
In the “Password” page, click the “Upload” link.
In the “Upload Password Security File” window, click the “Browse” button.
In the “Browse” window, locate the PASA file you just created, and click the “Open” button.

Finally, you’ll need to add a “Security Question” and “Security Answer” field to your WordPress site’s user profile page. To do this, click the “User Profile” link in the top navigation bar, and then click the “Add New” link.
Now, when a user logs in to your WordPress site, they’ll need to enter the password protect security question and answer. If they don’t have the correct answer, they won’t be able to log in to your WordPress site.
