How Do I Remove Inactive Plugins From WordPress?
If you’re finding that you have too many plugins inactive, it’s possible to remove them in one of two ways: manually or automatically.
Manually Removing Plugins
The first way to remove inactive plugins is to go through each one and disable them in your WordPress admin panel. To do this, go to the Plugins tab and click on the plugin’s name.
On the next page, you’ll see a list of options. The first two are the most important: “Enabled” and “Activated.”.
To disable a plugin, simply click on the “Enabled” button and then select “Disabled” from the drop-down menu. This will disable the plugin and remove it from your WordPress plugin list.
If you want to keep a plugin enabled but inactive, you can do this by selecting “Inactive” from the “Enabled” drop-down menu. This will keep the plugin enabled but inactive.
However, you’ll still need to activate it each time you want to use it.
If you want to completely remove a plugin from your WordPress installation, you can do this by selecting “Delete” from the “Enabled” drop-down menu. This will remove the plugin from your WordPress installation and any content or settings associated with it.
Automatic Removal of Inactive Plugins
The second way to remove inactive plugins is to use a plugin like Inactive Plugin Remover. This plugin will automatically disable inactive plugins for you.
To use Inactive Plugin Remover, first install it. After that, go to your WordPress admin panel and click on the “Plugins” tab.
Then, click on the “Inactive Plugins” tab and select the plugins you want to remove.
After you’ve selected the plugins, Inactive Plugin Remover will automatically disable the plugins and remove them from your WordPress installation.
