What Is a Sticky Post on WordPress?

A sticky post is a post on WordPress that is pinned to the top of the WordPress page. When a sticky post is pinned, it is always the first post in the Updates category on the Posts page.

Sticky posts are great for managing updates and notifications for your WordPress site.

When a sticky post is updated, the update is pinned to the top of the post and the post is moved to the Updates category on the Posts page. The sticky post is also highlighted in blue.

If you have a blog with comments, the comments for the sticky post are also pinned to the top of the post.

If you want to unpin a sticky post, you can do so by clicking on the pin icon in the top right corner of the post. If you want to delete a sticky post, you can do so by clicking on the trash can icon in the top right corner of the post.
